Mo'Nique to announce Oscar nominations

Last year's Oscar-winning actress Mo'Nique will announce the nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards later this month along with Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak.

Mo'Nique won her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the 2009 film "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire."

She will appear alongside Sherak Jan. 25 to announce the nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards - the pair are to unveil the nominations in 10 of the 24 categories at a 5:30 a.m. PT news conference at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives from around the world are expected to gather.
